DIED VISSER PRIZE
The Died Visser Prize, designed and manufactured by Dubbelop, commissioned by the Schoonhoven Historical Society, was awarded on September 11th for the transformation of the Schoonhoven Plateelbakkerij by Verstoep.
In the past, the Schoonhoven Historical Society has awarded the restoration plaque several times. The last time was in 2011. In 2025, the board decided to revive this (almost) forgotten tradition. While the emphasis in the last century was on restoration (restoring it to its original state), the focus in this century has shifted to adapting it to the demands of the present day. We have therefore changed the name of the prize, and because this year marks the 100th anniversary of Died Visser's appointment as municipal architect, his name is also linked to the prize.
