DAY 1 - Introduction
I would like to take you on an adventure both in terms of design and different techniques.
One is not separate from the other and it will therefore be the same as what we pay attention to.
I will decide together with you what to start with and / or what we will pay the most attention to
Theme;
Below you will find different assignments or different perspectives. There must be at least one angle of view are processed. But I describe several options because it can go well together.

Angle of view 1
Form-function integration; check with your own works which functional additions have been used in the existing works of art that you have made. Think of; eyes or so-called invisible wires to hang it up.
The assignment is; make this function so that it is fully incorporated into the artwork. That it is such an addition in terms of design and design that it balances the work of art completely and enhances the design of the result. It is not clearly visible that you are supposed to hang it with this, but that it is a hidden quality of this addition.

Angle of view 2
This assignment can and may be integrated with perspective 1, but may also be seen as a second option that you can apply in your paper. Make an addition that is removable. A hidden treasure in the work of art that you can quite easily separate from the bigger picture and wearable as a piece of jewelry.

Angle of view 3
The great thing about textiles is that it can be worked in many colors. Take on the challenge to start from one color. Doing this makes you think even more about texture, structure, finish, etc. to make the difference.
More than ever, how you finish something and how you combine it is important. How captivating can you create a work of art when only one color is used.

techniques;
- knotting (of pearls)
- riveting (joining metals without using heat)
- applying structure, for example by rolling and forging
- cutting metal (aluminium)
- punch holes
- working with gold leaf and/or silver (joint purchase?)

Practice in blank aluminum first, then if necessary. in silver.

Take along Pauline;
bare aluminum
aluminum with structure
anodized aluminum.
examples of rolled textiles
strands of pearls, stones, etc
course books
illustrative books
beads (red in all kinds form)
material to demonstrate the knotting (of pearls/beads)

Presentation options;
- eventually work in silver and see if we can take on a project with it Silver Museum .
- presentation at Gallery Passi
- presentation in Nijmegen, there is one new ones starting gallery/presentation space
- other ideas welcome
Only when we have made a choice will I approach them.

Homework;
- make a list of tools you have at home, such as hammers.
- textile/lace that you would like to roll in (will break, keep that in mind)

FORM - FUNCTION INTEGRATION
View the photos below and describe how the function has been incorporated into the design.
